Examples of Dental Emergencies
Dental emergencies can include a wide range of symptoms and scenarios. One scenario for a person is not like a scenario for another. Examples of dental emergencies include:
Avulsed/Knocked out permanent teeth
Luxated/Traumatically moved permanent teeth
Extraoral swelling
Severe/Large intraoral swelling
Decayed or fractured tooth causing debilitating pain
Not Examples of Dental Emergencies
The following examples are not dental emergencies:
Temporary crown coming off
Chipped/fractured teeth not causing pain
Discomfort after routine dental treatment
Pain Relief
If having sensitivity or soreness, the combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen has been shown to be effective in treating pain when taken at the same time. Follow the instructions on the label of the specific medication you are taking. Please call the office if any questions.
