Root Canal Therapy
Root Canal Therapy
There are numerous reasons why root canal therapy may be needed. The most common reason is due to decay invading the nerve of the tooth and causing an infection. This infection may or may not cause pain but needs to be treated by removing the nerve and blood vessels of the tooth regardless. Other reasons for root canal therapy include cracked teeth, requiring a post to place a crown, resorption, or trauma. Not all root canals are equal and if the case is too difficult, it may require a referral to our endodontist in town.
