Sealants

Sealants are a great treatment that can prevent some common childhood cavities. They act to smooth out the bumpy and groovy surfaces of the biting surfaces of the teeth where food and bacteria often get stuck. It is important not to seal over top of anything that could become a cavity, so not all teeth are eligible to receive this treatment. If done properly, these can be great to help kids through those tough years of not brushing the best. They are quick and easy to place since we do not need to remove tooth structure.
