The specialist places an implant—a small titanium post resembling a screw—into the bone. It is topped with a healing cap which remains in place for approximately three months. This healing process is necessary to provide a stable base for the replacement tooth.
Once the area is fully healed and checked by the specialist, Fondy Family Dental can remove the healing cap and create and set the custom tooth restoration. The restoration is made to match the size, shape and color of the surrounding teeth.
