Implant Restorations
Implants are commonly the best way to replace missing teeth. Rather than having to splint multiple teeth togther with a bridge or wearing a removable appliance, the implant is able to function and be cleaned like a normal tooth in the mouth. The process of placing the implant is usually done by a specialist like an oral surgeon or periodontist. After healing of the implant, the specialist then gives the general dentist clearance to place the tooth restoration on top of the implant.
